After ordering a few other books to help with my bipolar and anxiety, I was very impressed so see how well this worked. I only use it when necessary although practice the skills every day. It explains a lot about the different types of mental illness. This helped me to understand why I have what I have. There are worksheets that you can tear out or make copies- one worksheet made you draw a time line of events in your life and emotions related to it. That really helped me in understanding things!I have rapid cycling bipolar one with mixed episodes along with anxiety. I also have epilepsy so I think that's where it originated from.If anyone is in the same or similar situation it's a helpful guide and I recommend

This book has allowed me to learn more about myself and my disorders. I really wish most therapist and psychiatrist recommend this workbook from the beginning.

Contains some valuable information in DBT and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), but skips over some important techniques and could really benefit from some more exercises and worksheets. I have bipolar, general anxiety, social anxiety, and PTSD. Most bipolar patients have at least two of these and the book could really use more focus on comorbid conditions, especially for anxiety disorders.

This is a great workbook, especially for people who have never heard of DBT. I use it as an additional resource for my daughter and myself on top of our DBT skills classes. Lots of interaction to keep you on track. Take it slow. I especially like the mood charts. Some of it needs better explanation as DBT is confusing in of it's own but overall, a great workbook for anyone who is Bipolar and needs to regulate their moods.

Great book to work through and I have been using it for years for myself and was using it for clients as well.

I think this workbook is a MUST for anyone suffering from bipolar disorder; either type 1 or 2. It gives you great therapeutic treatment options and teaches you about mindfulness while showing you different ways to cope with the anger, stress, depression, mood swings, hypo/hypermania, suicidal ideation or suicidal thoughts/actions. It also teaches family members how they can cope with the diagnosis and gives them techniques on dealing with the persons actions and behaviors. The worksheets in this book are great to make copies of the charts that you need to keep tract of your moods, medications and your triggers. This book has taught me new ways that can help me in my everyday life when I don't know when my next manic episode will strike. I highly recommend this book to anyone suffering with bipolar disorder.

This book is awesome. It is easy to read and follow along. The tools and applications are explained very well. They give lots of examples when they are teaching a new skill. It is nicely set up for stages of learning. I have lent this book to a few people (several of the are licensed Therapists) and most of them have loved it so much that they have gone on to purchase their own copy.

Very helpful explanations, information, and skills you should practice. The skills help for more than just bipolar disorder. I have anxiety and a huge lack of social skills and emotional training/expressions and this book is still very applicable to my problems.
